Littleton, New Hampshire native Bob Hill presents diplomatic credentials to Franco as US Ambassador to Madrid in 1968. He would later serve as Assistant Secretary of Defense and Ambassador to Argentina, shown at his desk in the Buenos Aires embassy in 1976, his last posting before his death in 1978. He previously served as US Ambassador to Mexico, El Salvador and Costa Rica. He studied at New Hampton School, where he also served on the Board of Trustees, and Dartmouth.
